Questions, answered

  • What are good self-reflection questions?+

Open questions about what happened and what it meant: what went well, what you learned, what you'd do differently. The best ones are specific to a time frame, which is why they're grouped by day, week, month and year above.

  • What are good end-of-year reflection questions?+

Start with the good: what you're proud of and the best day of the year. Then what was hard and what it taught you, and finish with one word for next year. The End of the year theme above has the full set.

  • How often should I reflect?+

A minute or two each day, a few questions each week, and a longer look back at the end of the month and the year. Little and often beats one big review.

  • Can I reflect out loud instead of writing?+

Yes. Talking it through works for many people. RingOwl Check-in calls you at a time you pick, asks a few reflection questions, and emails you the written entry.
