Yes — it captures the insurance carrier, group number, and member ID, then flags whether you accept that plan based on your in-network list. Full eligibility verification still runs through your normal carrier portal; RingOwl gets the data into your hands in seconds.
RingOwl is HIPAA-aware, not HIPAA-certified — we don't log or expose PHI by default, and your call recordings live in your account only. We don't currently sign BAAs or hold a HIPAA certification. For appointment scheduling and intake the practical risk is low, but review it against your own compliance requirements before you rely on it.
