The easiest way to get more Google reviews
Most happy customers never leave a review — not because they don't want to, but because it's a hassle. They'd have to open Google, search your business, find the right listing, and only then write something. A direct review link collapses all of that into a single tap, and a QR code does the same in the real world.
This generator builds Google's official writereview deep link from your Place ID, then renders a scannable QR you can download as a PNG. Stick it on the counter, print it on receipts, or paste it into a follow-up text — every version lands the customer straight on the review screen.
Timing matters as much as ease: the best moment to ask is right after a great interaction. When RingOwl handles a call or books an appointment, it can text the customer afterward — the perfect moment to include this link. See how the AI receptionist works.
Google review link FAQ
How do I create a direct Google review link?+
Google lets you deep-link straight to the review dialog using your business's Place ID. The format is https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=YOUR_PLACE_ID. Paste your Place ID above and this tool builds that link for you, plus a QR code, so a customer who clicks or scans lands right on the “write a review” screen.
How do I find my Google Place ID?+
Use Google's free Place ID Finder (linked in the tool). Search your business name, and it shows the Place ID — a string that starts with something like ChIJ. Copy that into the field above. Your Place ID is public information; it's the same ID Google Maps uses to identify your listing.
Why use a QR code for reviews?+
A QR code removes every step between “I'd happily leave a review” and actually doing it. Print it for your front counter, add it to a receipt or invoice, or drop the image into a thank-you text. The customer scans, the review screen opens, and they type — no searching for your business first, which is where most review requests are lost.
Is it against Google's policy to ask for reviews?+
Asking customers for honest reviews is allowed and encouraged by Google. What's against the rules is offering incentives in exchange for reviews, asking only happy customers (review gating), or posting fake reviews. A neutral “we'd love your feedback” link or QR code is exactly the kind of request Google supports.
Does this store my data?+
No. The link and QR code are generated entirely in your browser — your Place ID and business name are never uploaded or logged. You can download the QR as a PNG and use it anywhere.
